Benjamin S. Myers joined TerraPact in 2019 to serve as our Chief Executive Officer responsible for executing TerraPact’s overall strategic growth and operational initiatives. Ben is a real estate veteran with over 15 years experience leading large real estate acquisition and property management teams.
Prior to joining TerraPact, Ben was Vice President of Corporate Development and Property Management at American Tower, a Fortune 500 company, where he led all domestic acquisition efforts relating to telecommunication and real estate assets. In addition to his corporate development responsibilities, Ben also led American Tower’s property management team focused on managing underlying real estate rights from private and public property owners on over 40,000 assets. Ben was integral member of American Tower’s acquisition and property groups having various leadership roles over a 13 year period with direct experience in over $10 billion worth of real estate infrastructure acquisitions.
Ben holds a MBA from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance from the University of Colorado.
Will McKinney joined TerraPact in 2013 to optimize the financial performance of the company’s assets under management. Will manages all pricing and valuation matters for the company, oversees collection efforts, and satisfies client financial reporting needs. Will leads all major agreement renewals for the company.
Prior to joining TerraPact, Will spent over 10 years practicing commercial real estate focusing in asset management and loan origination. In his tenure, he underwrote commercial real estate loans up to $40 million. He also led research efforts to determine capitalization rates for properties, managed negotiations with lenders and investors and collaborated with all vested parties to close deals. Will provided instrumental leadership in industry research efforts and project valuations. Will also led critical due diligence for potential real estate acquisitions. His prior employers include a publicly traded real estate investment trust and a private equity backed commercial real estate investment company.
Will received a BS in Physics from Rhodes College and an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management where he served as the Vanderbilt Real Estate Club President. Will is a member of American Railway Development Association.
Patrick Johnson joined TerraPact in 2020 as the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for all finance and accounting functions as well as shaping and executing strategic plans and goals. Patrick is a railroad industry veteran with over 10 years’ experience.
Prior to joining TerraPact, Patrick was Vice President of Finance and Accounting for R. J. Corman Railroad Group, a railroad industry services provider and operator. Patrick started at R. J. Corman in the Management Trainee program and held a variety of roles in the Finance and Accounting department. In his role as Vice President of Finance and Accounting, Patrick was responsible for all finance and accounting functions for the entire organization as well as being a member of the M&A deal team.
Patrick has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky.
Todd joined TerraPact in 2018 to grow the company’s railroad corridor business. Todd leads TerraPact’s efforts to identify and develop opportunities to acquire and manage railroad right of way interests.
Prior to joining TerraPact, Todd spent nine years as Vice President, Real Estate of Iowa Pacific Holdings with responsibility for all real estate management activities across operations in the U.S. and England. He also handled the company’s lucrative railcar storage program. Between 1993 and 2009, Todd held various positions with RailTex, Inc. and then its successor, RailAmerica, Inc., most recently as Vice President, Real Estate with responsibility for managing an extensive short line railroad real property inventory throughout the U.S., Canada and Chile.
Todd has a BA and MA from Bowling Green State University in Geography, with specialization in land planning and development. He is also an experienced railroad corridor appraiser, having held various real estate appraisal certifications, in addition to providing expert witness valuation testimony before the Surface Transportation Board. He is a member of the American Railway Development Association.
Kim Williams joined TerraPact in 2011 as the Director of Operations. Kim leads the operations team of TerraPact’s subsidiary, Omega Rail Management. Kim oversees the management of documented agreements on over 7,000 corridor miles across the United States and British Columbia. She leads the efforts to catalogue and review all property-related documents, permitting and application processing, inspecting properties and updating agreements.
Kim co-founded Omega Rail Management, Inc., the leading provider of property management solutions to short line and regional railroads in 1997. Omega Rail Management was acquired by TerraPact in 2012 as part of its strategic growth plan.
Prior to founding Omega, Kim began her real estate career at Coldwell Banker briefly focusing on residential real estate.
Tina Hill joined TerraPact in 2011 as Chief of Staff to support the strategic vision of company. She oversees systems administration, change management, interdepartmental initiatives and organizational training for the company. Tina is also the Certified Salesforce Administrator for the company.
Prior to joining TerraPact, Tina spent several years advancing the visions of various entrepreneurs and start up organizations. Her roles have included operations management, systems integrations, marketing and communications and event administration.
Tina holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Cascade College.
Jeremy Humm joined TerraPact in 2020 to serve as, Director of Acquisitions and Development responsible for originating and developing new acquisition opportunities.
Prior to joining TerraPact, Jeremy spent five years as an Account Manager in American Tower’s Land Acquisitions and Property Management group responsible for originating and closing land and easement purchases, lease modifications and lease renewals. Originally from Australia, Jeremy spent 6-years as a professional athlete in the elite Australian Football League with the West Coast Eagles and Richmond Tigers Football Clubs.
Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from Curtin University of Technology from Perth, Western Australia.
Marc J. Abruzzo joined TerraPact in 2020 to serve as Director of Finance. Marc’s primary functions include planning and executing on TerraPact’s merger and acquisition outlook, corporate financings, and financial planning and analysis.
Prior to joining TerraPact, Marc was an Associate at Colchester Partners, an investment bank focused in the asset management industry. Prior to Colchester, Marc served as a Senior Associate in the transaction advisory and audit practices of EY and RSM.
Marc holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics-Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross.
